June 2012 Message from the Chair

Posted in Latest News on September 20, 2012.

In this month’s edition of Board of Medicine Brief, we will discuss the topic of volunteering. Many areas throughout our state are in desperate need of adequate health care, and volunteering is a great way for you to make a difference within your community. Also in this edition, we will provide you with information for physicians-in-training, as well as some responses to some of the most frequently asked questions that we receive at the board office. Next, we have a spotlight on one of our Board Members, Dr. Magdalena Averhoff, plus an introduction to the members of the Board Office staff. Finally, we will wrap things up with some information on our upcoming Board of Medicine meetings, and we’ll share some more testimonials about the great work being done by our staff.

In the next edition of Board of Medicine Brief, we’ll have highlights and information from the August 2012 Board of Medicine meeting, including information about the upcoming launch of our new and improved website, which we hope to have launched sometime in the near future. We’ll also have a spotlight on the Board’s newest member, Dr. Richard Shugarman.

Sincerely,
Jason J. Rosenberg, MD, FACS
Chairman, Florida Board of Medicine
