A new e-Learning tool titled “Applying Best Practices for Reporting Medical and Health Information on Birth Certificates” has been developed by the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics to help physicians, nurses and non-clinical staff at birthing facilities to increase awareness of the importance of collecting good data and reviews best practices for reporting medical and health information on birth and fetal death certificates. This training is available for free on the web and continuing education and course certificates are available upon completion.
