Fraudulent Email Alert

The Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance, is warning Florida health care practitioners about a fraudulent email and phishing attempt sent to Florida healthcare practitioners, specifically physicians.

Scammers are posing as the Department of Health and offering to provide licensees with “important information” if they sign in through a designated link in the email. The originating fraudulent email address is floridahealth@consultant.comThis is not a valid Department of Health email address.

We want to protect our health care practitioners from fraud schemes. If you receive an email from this fraudulent email address, do not click on any links or attachments or provide any personal information. If you have any questions, please contact our customer contact center at (850) 488-0595.
